In the first phase, all businesses, including hotels and restaurants, were shut down due to the ban issued to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The worst hit were the daily wage earners and the poor. At the time of the epidemic, poor people and stray dogs were struggling for food.
At the time of the epidemic, the K-Foundation had been feeding such poor people and dogs. Koirala said that this work has been going on continuously till now. People to stay safe from covid
When their homes, businesses, markets and restaurants were closed, wage earners and animals suffered the most. At that time, the foundation provided food for more than 150 dogs and monkeys a day.
Not only that, the foundation has also provided assistance to the people affected by the floods and landslides in Melamchi and Lamjung. Koirala further said, “The sole objective of our foundation is to promote human welfare and animal welfare.”

K Foundation Global is in plan to connect with Tiger Woods Foundation to help experience the virtual education to rural areas school in the future.
Koirala said the organization plans to feed stray dogs and build shelters for them in the near future. In Kathmandu alone, the growing number of stray dogs is around 30,000. This number is increasing day by day. “If we don’t control it in time, it will create a lot of problems,” he said.
The brand ambassador of this organization is Pratima Sherpa. The fact that she is directly associated with the Tiger Woods Foundation also means that the experience of virtual education can bring change in education system. We will continue to take this initiative in the future as well. The world is now moving in the direction of digitalization, but Nepal’s children will lag far behind in rural areas. He expressed the view that digitalization in the new world of education and the experience of virtual education should empower the poor children of Nepal.
If the experience of learning through virtual media is not shared, deprived children in Nepal will never get the opportunity. That child may be one of the most talented students but without training they will not be able to collaborate with other children around the world.
The long-term vision is to empower the same education system for every child in Nepal to study in private or public schools, he said.
“I think with the initiative of our organization, children in private and community schools will have equal access to education,” he said.
He believes that the new generation is the main source of change to build a new Nepal and every child should have equal opportunity. Dreams without a goal are always just a dream. Koirala said the foundation has been working to achieve four long-term goals in a short period of time – animal welfare, education system empowerment, vision care, and sports development.
